I do not compare to a simple stone
A simple stone must sink and drown and choke
There is metal, lead inside my bones
My skin– not an organ– a cloakWithin that cloak, not pain just strength and hope
What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, yes
A thought, embraced. No fear, so I can cope
Excruciating burning lonelinessI can address with ease no need to vie
Tears of love and hatred others have felt.
No empathy inside. Go take an eye
At all the illness loss that they have dealt

Pity, no use for me, I will not gloat.
Cause yes, I am a stone, but I must float.
