Do you ever have the urge to suddenly change the way you talk? Change the way you walk? Change the way you act? Have you ever dreamed to be in TV or movies, or even on Broadway? If so, you have the acting itch, my friend. The heart of an actor.

Acting is an art of expressing yourself. It lets you use your imagination in an un-awkward way. Acting makes you be someone you’re not for awhile, and when you feel like you really have the character down, you feel great. Now not everyone likes to act, but for the people who do, it’s a thrill. Ever wanted a British accent? Or to wear funny clothes? Or to be older or younger? Acting lets you do that. Plus, it’s fun!

At North Shore Middle School, we have an acting group called StagE3 (Stage E3). From 3:15-4:30 on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, we get together, play some games, talk about how it feels to act, and rehearse. We are doing a play called School Daze, and it’s about middle school! It’s not all based on one character, and we get to write our own stuff and even put in some songs! Come watch us!
