The movie that completed 2012 finally has a sequel! Pitch Perfect, directed by Jason Moore, was a total hit. Everyone was talking about the clever dialogue and talented singers and actresses in the movie. Now, in 2015, the movie’s got people talking again! Pitch Perfect 2 is coming out May 15 and everyone is counting down the days. But, is Pitch Perfect 2 going to live up to its expectations? Will the second be better than the first? Many people feel that sequels are never as good as the first. The descriptions of the new story seem a lot like the first movie- will it be tedious and repetitive? Also, some actors will not be making another appearance in Pitch Perfect 2. There will be new actors. Will they play their roles to the point where the audience finds a connection with the character, just like in Pitch Perfect? Or will they not fulfill the expectations we are all waiting for?

Pitch Perfect is a funny and witty movie. The story follows the main character, Becca, who starts college and joins an a cappella group. She hits some tough spots in her school year, but ends up becoming great friends with all the other girls in the a cappella group.

The new movie is directed by Elizabeth Banks (who acted as Effie Trinket in The Hunger Games). The cast includes Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Brittany Snow, Skylar Austin, and Anna Camp. It is about the Barden Bellas, (the all-girls a cappella group) who try to win an international competition, after completely embarrassing themselves at a concert at Lincoln Center. But here’s the catch- no American team has ever won it.

Will this movie be better than the first? See Pitch Perfect on May 15 in theaters to find out.
