Jack Levin has Type 1 Diabetes. This disease strikes both children and adults at any age. It comes on suddenly, causes people to be dependent on certain medicines, and carries the constant threat of devastating results. This condition can be life threatening.

The reason Jack started the JDRF, or Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund, is to raise more attention to his problem that many others share. Jack even started a fundraiser to help raise money and awareness for people like him. The advisory that raised the most money for this fundraiser won a pizza party!

Even though the contest is over, we made a terrific improvement in the world. In all, NS raised over $800 to help Jack and others like him.

Jack has a website and a video on YouTube if you want to learn more. Go here for the Youtube video: https://m.youtube.com/watch? v=Slbj6yRLhq0

And there you have it. A small boy with a big dream really made a difference in this world. It just goes to show that no matter who you are, you can make a difference.

If you want to donate money to the JDRF, you can donate online at Jack’s website. Type One Diabetes is something to take seriously, and is affecting people all over the world. We need to take action and turn Type One into Type None. Together, we can find a cure!
