The word Auschwitz pierces my ears whenever I hear it
I feel as if my heart beats to Ausch-witz, Ausch-Witz
the flashbacks of my neighbors, friends, family
the screams of my mother as she was poisoned in gas chambers
I remember my brothers ribs popping out of his hungry stomach
he was 20 and weighed 84 pounds
and then the pile, the pile that consisted of
about forty people including
mom
and
dad
The stripped us from our clothes,
Stripped us from our lives
but after all
only one life
one wedding ring
one shirt
one suitcase
of
6,000,000
