It’s 3am. Your room is dark, but you can see that there is someone, standing at the foot of your bed. You can just make out that he or she is wearing a clown costume, and you are pretty sure, from the glare and the little bit of reflection, it has a knife.
A cold breeze sweeps in from the open window, only increasing your goosebumps. The figure lifts its head slowly and chuckles. Then it looks into your eyes with its black empty eye sockets.
You open your mouth to scream. Nothing comes out.
The creature has paralyzed you with fear. Imagine the worst things, the most horrid actions happening across the world. The deepest darkest human deeds committed. You crumble mentally from these horrible visions. The creature inches closer and closer to you. By the time you open your eyes, you’re crying your eyes out and you can’t imagine anything worse than what your experiencing now. This thing, has taken all the joy and happiness away from you. Its face is just above yours, you can see the nightmares of everyone around the world, enjoying the darkness of the creature’s eyes. It lifts the knife and gently grazes it against your neck.
“Are you ready to die?” It whispers. It laughs. It laughs with more cruelty and intimidation that it did before. I whimper.
“Wha…what are you? Why are you doing this!?” you ask. “Please, have mercy!” you beg desperately.
“I am nothing. I am everything. I’m you, you’re me. Except, it’s me you can’t see. I am your end, yet your beginning. I am collection of all your sins. You must be baptized in a fountain of blood and agony.”
“NOOOO!” you plead. “Just…give mercy…. Please let me go!” you cry one last time. It puts its face right in front of you. Smell its breath, it smells like rusty metal coated in blood. It brings the knife to my chin.
“You did not give mercy to your enemies, say hi to them as you leave” it tells you. It smiles. Close your eyes. Then, all you see is red.
